The purpose of the ORA Celebrate Literacy Award is to identify and recognize a local individual, agency, or institution that has made significant contributions to literacy. Recipients are honored through an awards ceremony at the annual ORA Leadership Conference.

This award will celebrate and familiarize the public with literacy activities actually being carried out in your community and calls attention to the work that is being done by the schools and reading association in the promotion of literacy as a “universal” concern.

Participating in the ORA Celebrate Literacy awards program partially fulfills requirements for Honor Council and the ORA Award of Excellence.
