The Oklahoma Reading Association is a statewide organization dedicated to increasing literacy and instilling a love of reading. Improved literacy enhances personal development for a sound economy and a better future for all Oklahomans.Being a service organization, it is important to address the needs and interests of the educators of Oklahoma. It is our desire to expand the services of ORA by recognizing educators who make unselfish contributions to their community, reward those who are continuing their education and provide inservice opportunities that are in line with today's scope of objectives.

2009 OKLAHOMA READING ORGANIZATION ANNUAL CONFERENCE
Save the Date!!!
ORA Conference Will Be Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the Clarion Conference Center in Oklahoma City.
Author Jerry Pallotta will be featured! He is best known for the huge variety of alphabet books he has authored, including The Icky Bug Alphabet Book, The Bird Alphabet Book, and The Yummy Alphabet Book. Jerry is talented, friendly, and will graciously sign lots of lots of books for conference attendees. In addition, Oklahoma City University’s Let’s Pretend Players, will be performing. The children’s theatre troupe plays to rapt audiences in Oklahoma and around the country and will be helping up open and close the conference.
